Understanding Nonprofits’ Needs And How We Can Help! Part 1

We at Connected Office Technologies recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Kelly Martin, the Director of Operations and Finance at Maine Cancer Foundation. As a trusted partner, we wanted to understand what the biggest challenges for a nonprofit are and how we can help.
While talking with Kelly, she told us that the Maine Cancer Foundation (MCF) was founded in 1976 by a small group of concerned residents of Maine who had felt the loss of loved ones to cancer and needed to make a difference in the lives of others who are also affected. With there being no other organization that is 100% solely dedicated to helping and protecting Mainers from the disease, the Maine Cancer Foundation was born.
The Maine Cancer Foundation’s mission is dedicated to reducing cancer incidence and mortality rates in Maine. MCF leads a statewide endeavor to foster and grow the most promising and effective cancer-fighting efforts available to the people of Maine through a combination of grant-based financial support and coalition building. 100% of the funds that are raised are invested back into the communities to benefit the people of Maine.
So, we asked Kelly, what can we do to help the Maine Cancer Foundation? What can you do?
Well, the answer is, MCF really needs all of our help with fundraising, which includes volunteers, participants, and corporate sponsors. Their next fundraising event happens to be coming up very soon in fact. It’s the Twilight 5K on June 6, 2019. You can run, walk, sponsor, or volunteer. So, sign up now!
Other events coming you that you can help with include Tri For A Cure and Mary’s Walk.
